Documenting the Aftermath in Thessaly

Naftemporiki and HÄST produced a documentary reportage in the heart of Thessaly

Following the catastrophic impact of storm Daniel, Naftemporiki commissioned HÄST to produce a documentary reportage in the heart of Thessaly — one of the hardest-hit regions in recent history.

Challenge
Capture the reality on the ground after a national disaster and present it with clarity, empathy, and purpose.

Our team traveled across affected areas including Agia Marina, Agios Thomas, Palamas, and several nearby villages. Through a grounded and unfiltered cinematic lens, we captured both the visible damage and the quiet, invisible weight carried by the people left behind.

The documentary moves beyond the physical destruction. It brings forward the voices and faces of those who lost homes, livelihoods, and routines — but not their strength or dignity. Every frame reflects a reality that is ongoing, not a story that has ended.

HÄST managed the full production. Direction, filming, post-production, and the final narration were all handled in-house, with the intention of letting the story speak for itself. With a stripped-down visual language, the reportage avoids sensationalism and focuses instead on emotional truth.

"Εφιάλτης δίχως τέλος" stands as a living document — not just of what happened, but of what still needs to be addressed. A quiet but urgent reminder of resilience, responsibility, and the human cost of inaction.
